A menu that rearranges itself for the time of day.

TGB, The Good Baker

The problem

The Good Baker needed a menu they could actually run themselves. A printed or static menu shows dinner customers the same order of items as breakfast customers, and every new item meant either a bad photo or the cost of a professional photographer. For a café, that photography line item adds up fast.

What we built

  • Admin-managed digital menu, no developer needed for changes
  • Menu ordering that shifts with the time of day, on an automatable schedule
  • Embedded AI image layer: staff shoot an item on any phone and the system resolves it into a clean, menu-ready photo
  • Item availability and pricing controlled from the same admin

Architecture notes

The menu is data, not a document. Items carry scheduling rules, so what surfaces first at 8am is not what surfaces first at 6pm, and the rotation runs itself once configured. The image pipeline is built in rather than bolted on: a phone photo is uploaded, the AI layer cleans and standardises it, and the result is what customers see. The café never touches an editing tool and never books a photographer.

Outcome

The café updates its own menu from a phone. New items go live with presentable photos the same day they are baked, with no photographer on the payroll.
